The Inn is a 19 room National Historic Register property built in 1895 steps from the Beaverkill River, widely known for its excellent fly fishing. The Inn is also the hub for the Beaverkill Mountain Club, an 85- family community of conservation minded weekend home-owners. We are 4.7 rated on Google and TripAdvisor because the Inn’s staff is long-term, reliable, committed, and outstanding in every way. Like many neighboring towns, Livingston Manor has seen a renaissance with a craft pizzeria, 2 local brewpubs, The Catskill Arts Society, a BBQ joint, a coffee roaster, an artisan bakery, and more!

Assistant General Manager - $55k-65k/year

We’re looking for an Assistant General Manager. The ideal candidate is knowledgable in fine dining service, food, and beverage, is passionate about service, and is customer-oriented and engaging with staff and guests.

Job Requirements and Benefits:

  • 5 years or more of restaurant experience and high school diploma or equivalent

  • Health insurance, paid time off, and eligible for a bonus


Responsibilities

  • Oriented towards guests satisfaction at all times

  • Resolve guest complaints and coordinate with other department leaders to resolve service delivery or quality breakdowns

  • Develop and manage execution of Rooms/Food and Beverage division budgets and revenue forecasts. Develop and implement controls for expense management, such as utilizing labor management tools.

  • Drive profitability and overall operational compliance by ensuring high-quality food and service standards

  • Builds Team Talent: Ensures only the right people are hired and developed in the restaurant.

  • Builds teamwork through proper training, communication, and follow-through

  • Plans and communicates effectively with team and supervisors

  • Understands and executes an action plan to achieve goals.

  • Interview, hire, train, develop, recommend performance evaluations, resolve problems, and recommend discipline and/or termination when appropriate of staff members.

  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.

  • Plan, organize, facilitate, attend, and/or participate in various hotel and departmental meetings. Ensure compliance of brand standard operating procedures and policies.

  • Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Be familiar with Excel, GSuite and POS systems, specifically TOAST.


AM Line Cook Needed - $17 - $20 an hour

We are looking for a professional line cook to prepare food to the exact chef’s specifications and to set up stations for menu. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the executive and sous chef with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.

If you don't have experience working in a kitchen but are a hard worker with a good attitude we will be happy to train you and help you develop a new skill set. Must have reliable transportation.

Opportunity to transition to FULL TIME if desired.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies

  • Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)

  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

  • Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions

  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food

  • Stock inventory appropriately

  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion

  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Skills

  • Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook

  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures

  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks

  • Familiar with industry’s best practices


Servers & Housekeepers Needed - $15 - $19 an hour

The Beaverkill Valley is looking to add motivated, hard-working individuals to our growing team!

We are in search of Housekeepers and Servers with at least 1 year of experience in the department that they are seeking employment.

Ideal Candidates will have prior experience working in a hotel or restaurant before, be hospitality oriented and hardworking, and willing to be a team player. We are a small team who work together to ensure our continued success.
