What to Bring on a Work Trip to the Catskills

Located just a few hours from NYC and Boston, the Catskills are an ideal place for a work getaway - work a little bit, then explore the great outdoors and fun activities our region offers. Whether you’re taking a solo work trip or bringing your team up for a mini work retreat, here’s our list of what you’ll need to pack.

Bring your laptop and charger

The Beaverkill Valley Inn has wifi throughout the property, so all you’ll need is a laptop and your charger. Work fireside in the card room, with a beer in the tavern while enjoying sweeping views of the Inn’s grounds, even in bed with coffee in the morning.

Bring your hiking boots and activewear

There are tons of things to do outdoors in the Catskills, and the Inn itself has miles of hiking trails just steps away from our entrance. Make sure you bring hiking boots, sneakers, and activewear so you can explore nature when your workday is done.

Bring your swimsuit

This tip is specifically if you’re staying with us at the Beaverkill Valley Inn! We have an Olympic-size indoor pool in the fitness center, complete with a glass ceiling so you can enjoy it year-round. You’ll be really bummed if you forget your swimsuit and don’t get to check it out!

Bring your team

Being just a few hours from NYC is definitely a perk - you’ll be here in about two hours. This makes our region ideal for corporate retreats and incentive trips. The Inn hosts a number of corporate events each year, and our team can arrange everything from tasting dinners to brewery tours for your group.
