Where to Find the Best Catskills Wineries and Vineyards
You don’t need to head to France or Napa Valley to enjoy great wine - we have fantastic wine right here in the Catskill region! There are a ton of great wineries in the Catskill mountains where you can enjoy both the beautiful landscape and the delicious wines.
Here’s our list of the best Catskills and Hudson Valley wineries:
Bashakill Vineyards
In 2005, Bashakill Vineyards became Sullivan County’s first farm winery, growing all of their grapes organically. It’s a great place to visit, with live music, a taqueria menu, and even a craft cocktail menu if you’re not into wine.
Enlightment Winery
This cult-favorite winery is the smallest legal winery in New York State. They focus on unfiltered dry meads and botanical fruit wines in limited numbers.
Brotherhood Winery
This is America’s oldest winery, offering tours, tastings, a restaurant, seasonal events with live music, and an eclectic gift shop.
Applewood Winery
This is a really fun place to visit! Applewood Winery is right next to a lake, with a great spot for picnics and lounging. Try their ciders, meads, even gin and vodka made from apples. They have applewood-fired pizzas and live music on weekends.
Palaia Winery
Palaia offers a groovy tasting experience, and is known as the “hippie winery.” Enjoy wine slushies, live musi pub food, craft beer and cider, and their wine in a 200 year old barn on 10 acres of vineyards and a beautiful view from the picnic area and stage.
