What is the Catskill Mountain Railroad?

The Catskill Mountain Railroad is a unique heritage railroad based out of Kingston, New York. The railroad has a long history and was essential to the industry of New York state for 150 years. It’s now staffed by volunteers who are dedicated to preserving the importance of this scenic railroad and its history.

The railroad is about a scenic hour and a half drive from the Beaverkill Valley Inn. If you’re staying at the Inn with your kids, we highly recommend spending taking a day trip to Kingston to enjoy the Railroad.
