Q+A - Six FAQs About the Beaverkill Valley Inn

We’ve put together a few of the most frequently asked questions we get from our guests. Whether you’re wondering about air conditioning in your room to wheelchair accessibility, check out our top six FAQs.

Are the rooms at the Beaverkill Valley Inn air-conditioned?

Yes, all of the rooms have air conditioning, or just open your window to hear the birds and bubbling stream. Your room will have its own unit that you’ll be able to control. Learn more about our rooms here.

Are there any wheelchair-accessible rooms?

The Inn has a wheelchair accessible room on its first floor. Please inquire about it when booking your stay. The Inn is largely wheelchair accessible, starting with the large wraparound Victorian porch, which has an attractive ramp up to the front door. The entire first floor of the Inn, where most of the public areas are, is entirely wheelchair accessible: that includes the dining room, game room, living room, powder room, front desk, bar, card room, and deck. There is a clear path to the Clubhouse, the first floor of which is wheelchair accessible: that includes the pool, ice cream parlor, various meeting rooms, basketball court, locker rooms, and barn.

Can the Inn accommodate vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free dietary needs?

Yes, the Chefs can tailor all menus for special dietary requests. To best serve you, please let us know when making your reservation. Learn more about our dining here.

Can we bring our pets?

While we love furry friends, the Inn has a no pet policy, to avoid allergies and discomfort to other guests. Give your pet a holiday, there are several local boarding kennels nearby - call the front desk for recommendations.

Are the Inn’s waters for fly fishing only? Is there someone who can teach casting?

The Inn has one mile of private Beaverkill River for fly fishing only. It is Catch and Release, and we prefer the use of barbless hooks. You must be a registered Inn guest to fish this water, a fishing pass will be issued to you at check in with a stream map. The Inn's fishing expert is "The Catskill Angler," local fishing guru Nick Rubicco. Nick can teach casting lessons and arrange all sorts of private fishing tours for guests of all ages and activity levels. Click here to learn more about fishing at the Beaverkill Valley Inn.

Does the Inn host weddings and private events?

The Inn can accommodate up to 150 guests for wedding celebrations, and is an idyllic setting for smaller, more intimate weddings of 50 - 100 guests. With an array of ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception locations and use of the barn for the after party, the Inn is the Catskill’s best-kept secret for unforgettable wedding celebrations.
