What’s on the menu?

When is the restaurant open?

The restaurant’s hours change depending on the season. Updated hours can be found here. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner; brunch is available on weekends only.

What type of food do you serve?

The Inn serves fresh, creative, locally-sourced fare created by Chef Tommy Finch and his team - learn more about Chef Tommy and his background here.

Is the Inn open to outside guests?

At this time, the Inn’s restaurant is open to members of the Beaverkill Mountain Club and to Inn guests only. We are not open to outside diners - you must be a guest at the Inn to eat at our facility. You can book your stay here.

Can we eat outside?

Depending on the weather, you can choose to eat outside on the deck with views of the Inn’s expansive grounds.

Can the Inn accommodate vegan, vegetarian and gluten free dietary needs?

Yes, the Chefs can tailor all menus for special dietary requests. To best serve you, please let us know when booking your stay.

Can we order a birthday cake if we’re staying during a special occasion?

Yes - our pastry chef can create beautiful cakes and treats for your special occasion. Just let us know ahead of time.

Beaverkill Valley Inn Rooms & Rates

How many rooms are available?

The Inn has nineteen guest rooms. They each come with plush robes, eco-friendly toiletries, and country-chic decor. All rooms are air conditioned.

Fourteen rooms have their own private en-suite bathrooms.

Five rooms on the Inn’s third floor have their own seperate private bathroom adjacent to the room, each with an antique clawfoot tub and vintage ceramic tile. This is a unique throwback to the Inn’s days as a historic boardinghouse for fly fishermen in the late 19th century.

Are any of your rooms wheelchair accessible? How accessible is the Inn?

The Inn has a wheelchair accessible room on the Inn's first floor. Please inquire about it when booking your stay. The Inn is largely wheelchair accessible, starting with the large wraparound Victorian porch, which has an attractive ramp up to the front door. The entire first floor of the Inn, where most of the public areas are, is entirely wheelchair accessible: that includes the dining room, game room, living room, wheelchair-accessible bathroom, front desk, bar, card room, and deck. There is a clear path to the Clubhouse, the first floor of which is wheelchair accessible: that includes the pool, ice cream parlor, various meeting rooms, basketball court, locker rooms, and barn.

Does the Inn offer day passes for amenities like the pool, ice skating rink, hiking trails, and tennis court?

No, the Inn's amenities are available to overnight guests only. We do not offer day passes.

What are some things to do at the Inn?

So much to do you can’t fit it all in one visit! Hiking, biking, swimming in the pool, playing pool in the Inn’s billiards room, working out in the gym, playing basketball, eating ice cream in the ice cream parlor, walking the grounds, taking a casting lesson, fishing on the river, going for a run, yoga, take a tennis lesson, snowshoe, ski, or ice skate in the winter, birdwatch, go for a picnic, play foosball or ping pong, check out the gardens, play croquet, and more. Is there a lot to do in the area?

Are the Inn’s waters for fly fishing only?

The Inn has one mile of private Beaverkill River for fly fishing only. It is Catch and Release, and we prefer the use of barbless hooks. You must be a registered Inn guest to fish this water, a fishing pass will be issued to you at check in with a stream map.

Can I borrow fishing equipment?

The Inn has rods with reels and line for a $25 per day rental fee. Waders and wading shoes in all sizes are stocked and are complimentary during your stay. You can also purchase flies at the front desk.

Does the Inn have someone who can teach casting?

The Inn's fishing expert is "The Catskill Angler," local fishing guru Nick Rubicco. Nick can teach casting lessons and arrange all sorts of private fishing tours for guests of all ages and activity levels.
